Bailey has grown up on her family farm near Carman Manitoba. From a young age she has been very involved with the farm, from helping care for the cattle to helping take the crop off.
At age 13, Bailey decided chickens needed to be added to her family farm. She purchased the hens with lunch money she saved up, instead of buying lunch at the school cafeteria she would walk to her grandmas. After buying 20 laying hens her fridge was full of eggs and she had to get rid of them! She began selling eggs to her teachers at school.
A year later Bailey became very interested about honey bees and beekeeping after reading a book for a school report. She began researching and learning everything she could about bees. That summer Bailey somehow convinced her parents to let her add a beehive to the farm!
She began selling honey and baking at her local farmers’ market and called her stand "The Farmer’s Daughter". Bailey has slowly been increasing her apiary and has been adding new products to her line.
